Northwestern Football Player Union Election

The press has pretty well been keeping everyone alert to what is happening with the NLRB case involving Northwestern scholarship football players. As I am sure you know, the election is scheduled for Friday April 25, 2014. The University is campaigning hard to get a “no” vote. We will keep you posted on the results. The likelihood is that the NLRB in Washington will be reviewing the Regional Director’s decision and they have substantial discretion as to whether and how the election will proceed. The most common process with a review is that the voting will take place as scheduled but the ballots will be impounded pending the result of the NLRB’s review. We will keep you posted.
